IDENTIFIKASI DINI FAKTOR RISIKO STUNTING MELALUI APLIKASI E-TOPS PADA BAYI 0–24 BULAN

Abstrak

Stunting remains a significant public health problem in Indonesia, highlighting the importance of early detection of growth risk factors in infants aged 0–24 months. This community service program aimed to improve parents’ ability to monitor infant growth through the utilization of the e-ToPS (Torang Peduli Stunting) application, with assistance from students of the Diploma III Midwifery Program at Poltekkes Kemenkes Manado.

The program was implemented through several stages, including preparation, socialization of the application, training on e-ToPS usage, anthropometric measurements (weight and length), nutrition and developmental stimulation education, and periodic monitoring and evaluation over 2–3 months. A total of 19 infants aged 1–4 months participated in the activity. Growth assessment results using e-ToPS indicated that 84.2% of infants were categorized as having normal growth, while 15.8% were identified as short, requiring further monitoring and follow-up. Evaluation of application usage showed a very positive response, with most users reporting that the application was easy to use and helpful for growth screening.

The findings demonstrate that technology-based complementary midwifery services are effective in supporting early detection of stunting risk factors, enhancing family nutrition literacy, and strengthening students’ competencies in community-based, evidence-based, and technology-integrated midwifery practice. The e-ToPS application has strong potential as a sustainable innovation to support promotive and preventive strategies for accelerating stunting reduction at the community level.
